What is a skin tag?
A skin tag is usually built up of excess skin, which is on the surface of the skin. This can some times appear at a later stage during your life, as the skin begins to age, or after or during pregnancy. Having it removed is a cosmetic procedure.Which is completlely safe, to be carried out by a trained practitioner.
Here at Antoinette Nicole Aesthetics, we do not diagnose any skin condition, we only treat them, so therefore if you are unsure, whether you have a skin tag, or not I would reccomend a visit to your GP.
How long does the results last?
Skin tags that have been removed at by our practitioner, has been permanant, but please bear in mind, that it is also dependant on the aging process.
The treatment we offer is non surgical and will cause, not cuts, to the area of removal.
What does the treatment involve?
This treatment can be done at your home or in clinic. If you decide to have it done at home, then a telephone cosultation will be done, defore your booking can be confirmed.
If you you book an appointment at the clini, then you will complete all necessary medical forms on the day.
The treatment is then carried out, by cleaning the area, that will be treated, then then it will be freezed, according to the time, required for the tag, that you will be removinig.
The treatment, does not hurt, but is ice cold, therefore, you may feel alittle discomfort, but very minimal.
After Care Advise.
We advise all our clients that it usuall takes 4 weeks to heal, therefore if you are required to have more than 1 treatment, please do this with in the required time,which is no longer than the 4 weeks, from the last treatment given.
You also may experience bruising. The area, that has had the removal, will also change colour, as part of the healing process. You do not need to apply any creams to the area, imediately after treatment, unless, it is sun cream and been advised, to do so. Please continue with your normal routine.
